Science Hall Elementary held its 5th Annual Book Swap this week, the Suns bringing their gently-used books to trade with others so that they have new choices to read at home during the summer. SHES Librarian Staci Perkins says, "Students are always amazed at the huge selection of free reading material provided by their peers and through generous donations." Perkins has obtained grants from Target, the HCISD Education Foundation, and donations of books from Half price Books and H-E-B's Read3 Program to keep student home libraries growing and evolving year to year. The Suns like swapping instead of shopping! (photos by Staci Perkins)
